These are easy, inexpensive, and fun to make.
Not to mention- they'll keep the kids busy for an afternoon.
I made about 100 in about 2 1/2 hours for favors to give away at
The First Annual Eco-Fest.
Adults seemed to enjoy picking out their favorites more than their kids!

These cute little magnets can be customized for any occasion. Supplies: |
Step 1: Place stamp on the scrap booking paper that allows for the one inch stamp to reach. Allow to dry fully before punching.
Step 2: Center 1 inch stamp and punch out of scrap booking paper.
Step 3: Smooth enough Tacky Glue in the inside of the bottle cap to be able to secure 1 inch circle punch.
Step 4: Center 1 inch circle punch in the bottle cap, and press firmly. I wanted to personalize mine for Eco-Fest with cute little sayings, like this one that says "grow,' before I put an even layer of Mod Podge with the foam craft brush. Allow to dry for one hour.
Step 5: Punch the magnet paper with the 1 inch hole punch and either peel backing or use Tacky Glue to secure. (I actually recommend using a circular magnet that is about 1/8-1/4 inch thick- it is much stronger.)
Step 6: Put a final coat of Mod Podge to make sure that you have a full shiny coat. I cheated and cut my brush into a point to make it easier to get to the edge.
Here are the finished magnets in the process of drying from their final coat. |
